Senior Build Technician

Role Purpose:

The Senior Build Technician will provide advanced hands-on technical expertise in the assembly, integration, testing and commissioning of prototype, development and early production products. Working closely with the Lead Manufacturing Technician and Manufacturing Director, the role will support the development of manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment and working practices required to establish a world-class manufacturing capability. The role will undertake complex build, test and fault-finding activities on products incorporating hazardous voltage electrical systems and energy storage technologies, while supporting the successful introduction of new products and manufacturing methods. As an experienced practitioner, the Senior Build Technician will help maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship, provide technical guidance to colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Build Technician

Role Purpose:

The Build Technician will support the assembly, integration, testing and inspection of prototype, development and early production products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working as part of the manufacturing team, the role will ensure products are built safely, efficiently and in accordance with defined processes, engineering requirements and quality standards. The role will involve working on products incorporating hazardous voltage electrical systems and energy storage technologies, requiring strict adherence to safe systems of work, manufacturing procedures and traceability requirements. The Build Technician will contribute to the successful delivery of manufacturing programmes while developing technical skills and supporting the growth of the company's advanced manufacturing capability.

Principal Electrical Engineer - Contractor

Role Purpose:

We require a Principal Electrical Systems Engineer to take the lead in the selection, evaluation and integration of electrical components used across our innovative battery, power conversion and control products targeted at a wide range of customer applications focussed on electrification.  The successful candidate will define component‑level requirements, develop architectures and select components across high‑ and low‑voltage systems between batteries, vehicle systems, charging interfaces and internal power distribution units. They will ensure compatibility through analysis, simulation and supplier engagement, and take responsibility for the technical verification of the electrical system.  They will liaise directly with suppliers and manufacturers and work with the wider multi‑disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery of effective engineering solutions.

Principal Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Engineer - Contractor

Role Purpose:

We require a Principal EDS Engineer to take the lead in the development of electrical design and distribution for our range of innovative battery, power conversion and control products targeted at a wide range of customer applications focussed on electrification. The successful candidate will work to define the requirements of the electrical system, drive the selection of architectures and components through simulation and analysis, and take responsibility for the detailed design, manufacture and verification of the interconnect. They will liaise directly with suppliers and manufacturers and work with the wider multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery of effective engineering solutions.

Lead Manufacturing Technician

Role Purpose:

The Lead Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing activities while playing a key role in establishing our battery manufacturing capability from the ground up. Working closely with the Manufacturing Director, the role will support facility setup, equipment commissioning, process development, production readiness and team development. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership capability, supporting the assembly, integration and testing of advanced lithium-ion battery systems across prototype and early production programmes. As the business scales, this role will help build a best-in-class battery prototyping and industrialisation capability, enabling the rapid development, build, test and industrialisation of advanced battery systems for marine, defence, industrial and specialist vehicle applications. The role will be instrumental in embedding high standards of safety, quality, technical excellence and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing organisation.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Contractor

Role Purpose:

We require a Mechanical Design Engineer to design enclosures for electrical and electronic systems for a wide range of customer applications focussed on electrification, including battery management, power conversion and electric vehicle control systems. The successful candidate will package custom and off-the-shelf electrical/electronic components, external connectors, low-voltage harnesses and high-voltage/current interconnect into custom or modified enclosures, dealing with cooling requirements and meeting relevant industry standards and produce cost-effective and manufacturable designs. They will liaise with suppliers and manufacturers and work with the wider multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery of effective engineering solutions.

Electronics Engineer (BMS) 

Role Purpose:

We require an Electronics Engineer to develop control systems for batteries, power electronics or electric vehicles for our wide range of customer applications focussed on electrification. The successful candidate will be involved at all stages of the design process including inception, development and verification. They will liaise directly with suppliers and manufacturers and work with the wider multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery of effective engineering solutions.

Systems Test and Integration Engineer (BMS) 

Role Purpose:

Lead System Integration and testing activities including generation and execution of test plans utilising HiL rigs, test rigs and other test facilities.

You will be responsible of the design and development of testing plans for BMS system characterisation and V&V; perform testing activities, utilising HiL rigs and other battery test facilities; test analysis and reports. Problem investigation and resolution; setting up test equipment, including instrumentation and test automation; documentation of test facilities and test specifications; work closely with other engineering teams; ensure test plans are available so that the right facilities are made available at the appropriate time; ensure all data and reports are appropriately documented and stored; assist in developing product sign off criteria. Highlight any deviation from plan at the earliest opportunity and instigate recovery plans; ensure that the appropriate test standards are applied and are reviewed / updated as technology progresses.

Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Role Purpose:

You will be a key member of the software and controls team to develop software solutions, drive processes and tools as well as quality standards. You will work with the wider multi-disciplinary engineering team to support the delivery of effective engineering solutions. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys designing and implementing embedded software, as well as the creative problem solving, and testing required to ensure that the software modules function as intended.
